18.28. How to re-home the Work folder to a different volume or location

By default, Symphony saves temporary files into the \work subfolder beneath the SymphonyOCR installation directory.

This procedure describes how to change the work folder to a different location:

1. Stop Symphony OCR
2. Ensure that the desired work folder exists on the target drive
3. Create a text file named folderse.properties in the root SymphonyOCR installation directory
4. Add the following line to the file:
   work=<path to file, but use double backslashes>
   for example:
   work=E:\\SymphonyAlt\\work
5. Optionally, move the folders that are currently in the /work subfolder to your new location
6. Restart Symphony OCR

IMPORTANT:  You must use double backslashes!
