Background

Advent Axys requires the full version of Adobe and the Scripter utilizes this application for generating the reports.   You may receive the following message when generating the reports:

There may also be an annoying security popup dialog that popups up for every report. Note that we've found this dialog doesn't appear in the system tray, so you have to Alt+Tab to see the dialog.

Resolution

All of the following settings are required for the Axys reprun system to be able to generate PDFs of the reports.

Adobe Printing Preferences

1. Navigate to your list of printers, right click on the Adobe PDF Printer and select "Printing Preferences"
2. Select the Adobe PDF Settings tab, and uncheck the "Rely on System fonts only; do not use document fonts" check box
   
3. Select "OK"

Adobe Security

1. Launch Adobe
2. Edit->Preferences
3. Choose Convert to PDF
4. Choose 'PostsScript/EPS'
5. Click Edit Settings
6. UNcheck the 'Always show file trust dialog before conversion'

Adobe Distiller

1. Launch Adobe Distiller
2. File->Preferences
3. Check 'Trust all files opened via Acrobat Distiller'
