2.1. Introduction

This procedure consists of 3 parts:

1. Check to see if any files or folders are missing 8.3 filenames
2. Enable 8.3 filename support (this enables 8.3 filename support, but does not add 8.3 filenames to any existing files or folders)
3. Set 8.3 filenames on any files and folders in a given directory structure that do not already have 8.3 filenames
